Bikini Body Ready Trilogy [ #2 ESSENTIALS ]

"Nothing soothes the soul like a walk on the beach." - Anonymous

For the second part of the Bikini Body Ready Trilogy, I am going to share with you my pool/beach, summer essentials! These are either things that I would pack in my beach bag, or products I would use before or after going to the beach/pool. Here are my top essentials:

1. Tote Bag
A big tote bag is definitely one of my top essentials for summer. I always find that I have a LOT to pack whenever I'm headed for the beach, so it's always nice to have one big tote bag to carry everything in. Try to find a tote bag like this one from Forever 21, because the olefin material will work better with water and will not soak the tote bag. However, simple canvas tote bags are also a great option if you just want a simple bag for summer. This one from Forever 21 is EXTREMELY affordable and chic!

2. Sunscreen
A good quality sunscreen is super important especially during summer. It's always good to protect your skin and no one likes getting a sunburn! The Clarins UV Plus HP Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Sunscreen (that was a mouthful!) is amazing if you're looking for an oil-free, lightweight sunscreen that does not leave a strong sunscreen scent. It is quite pricey for sunscreen, but it's a great splurge!

3. Nail Polish
Personally, I prefer painting my own nails over getting a manicure/pedicure at a nail salon. During summer, I find myself changing nail polish colors all the time because there are so many colors I want to try out! Lately I've been leaning towards both light pastels and vibrant colors; I know, two complete opposites! My favorite pastel nail polish is the Deborah Lippmann 'Blue Orchid'. It's a beautiful baby blue shade, and while pastels are more of a springtime color, I constantly find myself coming back to this shade. As for vibrant colors, I've been loving bright, pink-coral colors! The Butter London 'Macbeth' nail polish because it really provides a great pop of color for your nails!

4. Body Butter
After going to the beach or lounging in the pool, I love to moisturize with body butter. One of my favorites is the Wild & Breezy Luminous Body Butter from Victoria's Secret. The smell isn't as light compared to the body butters I normally use, but I feel like it's the perfect summer scent. It's slightly fruitier with the guava and passion flower scent, and reminds me of sandy beaches and tropical islands!

5. Perfume/Body Mist
I always love a nice, fresh but girly scent during the summer. The Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb has a beautiful scent that really lasts throughout the day. It's definitely a pricier perfume, but if you're looking for a high quality perfume I would definitely recommend this one! Or, you can try out the rollerball version for a cheaper option. If you prefer body mists, I would definitely recommend any from Victoria's Secret; they have tons of options and you're bound to find a great scent!

6. Self Tanner
Personally, I rarely ever use self tanners. However, occasionally I do use the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs. This can help you easily obtain an effortless tan and will give you flawless looking skin. You can use this on your whole body, not just your legs.

7. Cleanser
Whenever I come back from the beach/pool, I always use a gentle cleanser. One of my all-time favorite cleansers for sensitive skin is the Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser. This is super gentle on the skin and smells fantastic; I'm in love with the shea butter scent in this cleanser! Your skin will feel amazingly smooth afterwards, I love this product!

8. Confidence
This isn't a product I'm recommending but it's arguably the most important of this list. Your own confidence will make you feel like a better person than any makeup or product can make you feel. It's extremely important to realize that you need to love yourself for who you are and to feel confident in your own body.

For the third part of my Bikini Body Trilogy, I will be focusing on #8! I decided to add a preview of it to part two to give you all a heads up for what I will be releasing next :) I hope you found this post to be helpful!

Thanks for reading!
